Smriti came to our hostel facility in 2019 when she was eight years old. She comes from a nearby village called Rupsa. Smriti's dad has been out of contact for over eight years. Some believe that he might be in India, but no-one knows for sure if he is in India or dead. Smriti's mom had already married another man and has her own children, and considers Smriti as not her responsibility. Smriti had been living at three relatives' houses on a rotational basis before coming to our hostel facility. Now, she is happy to find a home at our hostel facility.
